What is an MVEMS membership and who does it benefit?

Regardless of your age or overall health, anyone can benefit from an MVEMS subscription. As an MVEMS member, your EMS transportation costs are covered in cases of emergencies and injuries. In addition, your membership helps support the overall success of your local EMS organization. Your memberships and donations assist us to provide reliable quality care to our community. With rapidly escalating costs, WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!

Why should I subscribe if I have medicare or other insurance?

If you are a subscriber, we will bill your insurance carrier first for any emergency transports. Any amount due such as co-pays/deductibles/co-insurance will be waived. You will owe no additional monies. Medicare, typically pays 80% of your medical coverage. The balance due after the Medicare payment, will also be waived if you are a subscriber.

What if I have no insurance and am a subscriber?

If you are a subscriber, we will reduce your total bill by 20% for any emergency transports. You will, however, be responsible for any remaining balance due.

What is included in a membership?

The membership program is applicable to medically necessary EMERGENCY ambulance transportation to any of the surrounding acute care hospitals in our area for a one-year period starting April 1st, 2020. Non-members will be obligated to pay all payments, co-payments, and deductibles as required by their health insurance plan, which can be $900 or more. As a subscriber you will benefit from no out-of-pocket expenses.

Can I purchase a membership for others?

Absolutely! In fact many people purchase memberships for loved ones including parents and grand parents. Simply list the names of the individuals on the form below.

Reminder: Subscriptions will not be retroactive or pro-rated. Lift assist service is not covered in a membership. Members will receive a discounted rate of $25 (non members $50) Be sure to complete, detach and mail the form with your subscription payment.
